The Dairy is a stunning North Somerset garden in Weston-in-Gordano open for its annual National Garden Scheme fund raiser.
The exquisite gardens and contemporary barn conversions have been built from scratch, plant-by-plant, brick-by-brick by Christine and David Lewis who have renovated waste land and old concrete milking parlour which stood on the site of Weston-in-Gordano Manor House. Much of the original old stone found in the soil has been incorporated into the new design.
The Dairy, Clevedon Road, Weston-in-Gordano, North Somerset, BS20 8PZ.
Open Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 June 14:00 - 17:00.
Admission: Adults £5. Children free.
Drawing on the vast views across Gordano Valley the gardens have a sense of place and connection in their environment. This borrowed landscape adds depth and height to the 1.5 acre gardens which are surrounded by Avon Wildlife Trust nature reserve.
The Dairy has recently attracted a national audience by featuring in the May issue of Gardener's World magazine in the 2-for-1 entry card section. Full venue and entry details can be found at Gardener's World magazine dedicated Dairy web page (photo by Debi Holland).
The Dairy is open by appointment from 8 June - 30 September. Email Chris Lewis to arrange.
