Tyntesfield
I was a volunteer Harvester in the kitchen garden at Tyntesfield National Trust in North Somerset.
I was a part of a four-person 'Monday' team who maintained the vegetable and fruit crops in the walled garden.
The crops were harvested for the National Trust restaurant 'Cow Barn Kitchen' and all surplus produce was displayed on the honesty table for visitors to purchase for a donation of their choice.
Crops included salad leaves, tomatoes, chillis, aubergines, artichokes, all manner of root vegetables, brassicas, berries, dahlias and sweetpeas.
Wonderful experience working with an inspiring team.
Both house and gardens provide a fabulous day out. Well worth a visit to National Trust property Tyntesfield.
