The Dairy NGS 2021

The Dairy is an impressive 1.5 acre North Somerset garden in Weston-in-Gordano which opens its doors by arrangement from May to October to raise money for the National Garden Scheme.

These stunning gardens and contemporary barn conversions were built from scratch by Chris and David Lewis, plant-by-plant, brick-by-brick. They have transformed the waste land and old concrete milking parlour which stood on the site of the former Weston-in-Gordano Manor House into a magnificent modern design.

Much of the original old stone found in the soil has been incorporated into the grounds to make new walls. Surrounded by Avon Wildlife Trust nature reserve, the Dairy makes full use of its borrowed landscape.

The Dairy opened for a pop up event on Saturday 19 June 2021 and was inundated with enthusiastic visitors. If you missed it, do not worry, bookings can be made for groups of 10-30 via link below:

I worked as a gardener at The Dairy for two years and was enthralled by the contemporary design, vast plant collection and Chris' passion for making her garden the best it could possibly be. I was honoured to be asked to photograph the garden for her National Garden Scheme event and as a seasonal log of the developments throughout the year.

Gardens change week-on-week and photography is a wonderful way to capture these precious moments nature gives us so we can reflect, digest, edit and enjoy.

I highly recommend a visit. Hope to see you there!
